Toronto, Tuesday September 23,2004- Following a successful Toronto Film Festival partnership with Chanel, artist, visionary and sought after consultant, cutter and stylist Jie Matar (JIE), today, announced a partnership with new local television station Toronto 1.
Along with a platform to showcase his product line and hair expertise as a on-air contributor to shows to be determined, JIE and his team will be providing exclusive cutting, colouring and styling services to the on-air talent for Current Affair programs Toronto Today, Toronto Tonight and Last Call. The talent roster will include anchors Ben Chin and Sarika Seghal. JIE will also style visiting celebrity guests. His line of hair care products (JIE Necessities) will be prominently displayed in all make-up and hair studios.
“I am excited about this layered and mutually-beneficial working arrangement with Toronto 1,” notes Matar. “The energy and talent involved with both of our teams will inspire us to create the most stylish station ever!” This marks the first time JIE has had a formal agreement with a television entity across programming.
